Catholic Social Teaching and Systemic Racism
A Lawn Chat and Discussion

Sunday, September 13, at 4:15 p.m.

What does Catholic Social Teaching (CST) and the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) have to say about systemic racism in our nation? St. Joseph’s Workers4Justice, a lay-led, parish ministry of St. Joseph’s in Maplewood, is inviting members of St. Joseph’s Parish and other Catholics to learn how CST and the USCCB both acknowledge the impact of systemic racism in the United States and also urge us to work to end it. Catholic Social Teaching speaks of recognizing the injustice of racism, educating ourselves about it, and resolving to work toward racial justice in our local and national communities and in our own parishes.

Please RSVP by emailing Kim and Axel Oaks Takacs: oaks.takacs@gmail.com. We will confirm your registration and share with you a very short document that will begin the discussion.
